I bring an international perspective to my work, having begun my education in Europe (France and Germany), with additional electives at Children’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School. Before entering medicine, I earned a Master’s degree in Special Education and a Ph.D. in Psycholinguistics, experiences that continue to inform my understanding of development, language, and learning.
I pursued my psychiatric training in New York City at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Payne Whitney Clinic. I went on to complete my psychoanalytic education at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute, with training in child, adolescent, and adult psychoanalysis.
Today, I serve as Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College, where I supervise residents and fellows. At the New York Psychoanalytic Institute (NYPSI), I am Clinical Director of Children’s Services at the NYPSI Treatment Center, a member of the Board of Directors, and a faculty member teaching and supervising across levels of training.
My scholarly work bridges psychodynamic theory with clinical practice across the developmental spectrum.
