Services

I provide individualized assessments, second opinions, and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults up to early middle age. My approach is always developmental: I help people understand how present difficulties relate to their earlier experiences, family history, and overall life story.

Children

I work with children experiencing anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety, separation anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, or mixed anxiety symptoms), depression, adjustment difficulties, ADHD, and post-traumatic conditions. Diagnostic assessments are comprehensive, and I collaborate closely with parents and teachers, when helpful.

The COVID-19 pandemic intensified difficulties for many in this generation. Adolescents lost key opportunities for social learning and first romantic experiences during lockdowns, and some faced illness or fears of illness. These disruptions can reverberate into young adulthood, requiring thoughtful therapeutic support.

Adults

I work with adults, typically up to early middle age, who may be facing:

I offer psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, and when appropriate, combine these with adjunctive medication. In some instances, there is a separate prescriber. I do not provide medication as a stand-alone treatment.

International Patients and Families

Having grown up and trained across cultures, I bring sensitivity to the experiences of international patients and families. I have worked extensively with individuals adapting to new environments and navigating multiple cultural identities. I am fluent in English, French, and German.

Treatment Modalities

My treatments are tailored to the individual and may include:

Consultation: What to Expect

The initial consultation usually unfolds over several sessions. I conduct a thorough evaluation, considering both psychiatric and medical factors that could contribute to symptoms. When helpful, I collaborate with pediatricians, internists, neurologists, and other specialists. After the assessment, I provide my impressions and discuss tailored recommendations with the patient and family.
